PLEASURE STUDY I

Pleasure Study I was scored, set, and directed by Charlotte Stickles and Lilianna Kane. Pleasure Study I investigates the body's innate desire for pleasure, both sensorial and emotional, through improvisational scores. The work relies on dance improvisation as a vehicle to tap into the body's intuition and ability to make choices. Driving the improvisational scores is the notion of pleasure and kindness as power.

Pleasure Study I was created in seven days, during The Bellingham Repertory Company's "Seven Day Dance Festival" in Bellingham, Washington, in September, 2017.
